Home Office Immigration Fees Increasing From 9 April 2025

Home Office Immigration Fees are set to increase: Find out if these will affect you

On 19 March 2025, the Home Office published their immigration and nationality fees which are set to increase from 9 April 2025. The new fees will apply to all applications submitted on the 9th April 2025 or afterwards.

The following increase on Home Office Immigration Fees concern Personal Immigration matters:

Applications made from outside the UK:

UK Visit Visas
  • Up to 6 months: Rising from £115 to £127
  • Up to 2 years: Rising from £432 to £475
  • Up to 5 years: Rising from £771 to £848
  • Up to 10 years: Rising from £963to £1,059
Hong Kong BN(O) Visa – Applying to come to the UK from Hong Kong
  • For 30 months (main applicant and dependants): Rising from £180 to £193
  • For 5 years (main applicant and dependants): Rising from £250 to £268
Child Dependant Visa – Applying for your child to join you in the UK
  • Rising from £1,846 to £1,938
Spouse or Partner Visa – applications made outside the UK
  • Partner and Fiance/e Entry Clearance: Rising from £1,846 to £1,938
Adult Dependant Relative – Apply for your adult dependant relative to come to the UK
  • Rising from £3,250 to £3,413

Applications made from within the UK:

Spouse or Partner – In-Country Extension
  • Rising from £1,258 to £1,321
Parent of child – within the UK
  • Rising from £1,258 to £1,321
Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  • UK Spouse or Partner ILR: Rising from £2,885 to £3,029
  • 10-year lawful residence ILR: Rising from £2,885 to £3,029
Private Life Applications
  • First Private Life Application: Rising from £1,258 to £1,321
  • Private Life Extension: Rising from £1,258 to £1,321
Nationality Applications
  • Naturalisation (British Citizenship): Rising from £1,630 to £1,735
  • Adult Registration as British Citizen: Rising from £1,481 to £1,576

How you can avoid paying these increased fees:

If you would like to avoid paying these increased fees, the application needs to be submitted before the 9th April 2025. If the online application is submitted and paid for by the 8th April 2025, then the application fee will continue to be the current fee and not the increased fee.
