Background
Samuel has worked in the legal profession since 2017. Before joining the OTB Business Immigration team, Samuel worked at a specialist employment law firm where he was involved in advising employers about the impact of furlough and redundancy on their employee’s visas during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to retraining as a lawyer, Samuel’s early professional life was in the music technology and sound engineering industry. This experience allows him to provide unique insights for his clients across digital media and technology sectors.
Note: Samuel practiced law under the name Samuel Ashley until 2025 when he changed his name to Samuel Gardner.

He works primarily with individuals seeking endorsement as global leaders, or having the potential to be global leaders, in the arts & culture, digital technology, and academic research sectors. Samuel also advises on Skilled Worker; Global Business and Mobility; Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) settlement and Innovator Founder visas. Beyond business immigration, he has supported clients applying under the Ukraine Family (now closed) and Ukraine Sponsorship schemes, as well as the Hong Kong (BNO) route.
